In this volatile economic environment, downsizing is becoming the norm as unemployment levels continue to rise. Although reduction in force may be necessary, it is seldom easy.


PMP has been at the forefront of assisting employers to reduce exposure to litigation, especially during the downsizing process. In addition to analyzing and strategizing when a reduction in force is necessary, PMP can also assist employers through its cost-effective Career Transition/Outplacement Services.


PMP's Career Transition/Outplacement Services is a valuable resource for employers because it can:

  1. Promote a positive public image for the company
  2. Achieve faster re-employment which reduces unemployment costs
  3. Decrease the likelihood of a lawsuit based on discrimination
  4. Assist employees with better acceptance of the situation
  5. Provide employees with a viable and successful path to follow in their job search
  6. Greatly increase the speed at which an individual finds new employment

By providing the downsized employee with the proper tools and resources it will greatly increase the rate at which they find new employment. The faster the individual finds employment, the less likely it is that a suit for wrongful termination suit. Unemployment costs will be reduced as well. Additionally, these services can help the employee accept the situation at hand, thus minimizing the ill-will they may have toward their employer.


PMP offers employers two ways that they can structure the Outplacement process. As with all of PMP’s services, these can be customized to the company’s unique requirements.


  1. GROUP WORKSHOPS
    On-site or off-site

    PMP is currently offering the following workshops in a public forum during the month of November. For more details, go to (link to workshop page). We offer any of these workshops on-site or off-site.

    • Interviewing and Negotiating Workshop: This workshop will assist participants to create a clear and cohesive interviewing strategy and will demonstrate when and how to negotiate the best job offer. It will teach them to present their skills and accomplishments to an interviewer and what questions to ask the interviewer.
    • Resume Construction Workshop: This workshop will assist participants in developing an effective resume to use as a marketing tool in their job search. This is their first step in getting a new job.
    • Networking and Navigating Search Options: Participants will learn how to choose and work with various search option and the DOs and DON’Ts of dealing with them. This workshop will also inform participants how to effectively network and communicate while searching for a new job.

  2. ONE-ON-ONE CONSULTING
    On-site or off-site

    Designed to assist individuals with personalized job search strategies. Topics vary according to need, but may include: resume completion, mock interviews, development of an individualized marketing plan for their job search, listing target companies, etc.


    PMP continues to meet the needs of employers in every area of the employer/employee relationship by adding services that are pertinent to current workforce needs.
