Affirmative Action Plan Basics

Eliminating discrimination in the workplace remains a high priority for the government. One of the ways the United States combats discrimination is by monitoring federal contractors and their affirmative action plans. In this plan, a federal contractor details the steps it has taken and will take to ensure the right of all persons to advance on the basis of merit and ability without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability, genetic information, veteran’s status or other factors which cannot lawfully be the basis for employment actions.

In this webinar, attendees will learn the following:

  • Gain a greater understanding of what affirmative action is

  • Definition of a federal contractor

  • Understand what an affirmative action plan is and how it affects an organization

  • OFCCP and fundamentals of a compliant AAP
